Property in Portugal - rural property Portugal
Property in PortugalYes, Oeste is a place that will appeal to those who prefer culture and countryside pursuits as well as beaches and sunshine. Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal, is nearly as old as its seven hills. Dramatic, dilapidated and splendid at the same time, the capital is a rough-hewn diamond that shines with a little polish.
Set on the River
Tagus, as befits a seafaring nation, Lisbon is being regenerated from
its dock area northwards. Trendy bars and restaurants – including
the John Malkovich part-owned Bica do Sapato – have been created
from old warehouses, lending an air of international sophistication
to a city that charmingly clings to its traditional ways. (Many restaurants
and properties have changed little, seemingly, since
the 1970s and earlier).
